Obafemi Martins scores the winner to complete remarkable Shanghai’s comeback

Obafemi Martins scored the winning goal to complete a remarkable comeback for Shanghai Shenhua in their 3-2 win over Hebei in the Chinese Super League match day 19 tie on Saturday.

Having fired blank in their 2-1 home loss to Beijing Guoan last Sunday, there was no stopping Obafemi Martins this week as the Nigeria International scored the winning goal in a five-goal thriller.

Former Arsenal attacker, Gervinho put the visitors in front in the 4th-minutes of the encounter before Xuesheng doubled the away team’s tally in the 23rd-minutes.

The second half saw the home team looking confident and pressing from every side, with Cao Yunding and Moreno behind everything good for the home team.

They were rewarded in the 60th-minute when Moreno scored from Yunding’s assist. Moreno scored his brace 16 minutes after the first off Yunding’s assist to restore parity for the home team.

Yunding again was involved a minute later setting up Obafemi Martins for his 7th of the season and Shanghai Shenhua’s third and winning goal.
