Obioma set to join Esperance
2022/2023 Nigeria Premier League top-scorer Chukwuemeka Obioma is set to join Tunisian side Esperance from Enyimba FC.
Obioma fired Enyimba International FC to the Nigeria Premier League title last season, their ninth in history to extend their record as most successful in the country.
The forward scored 14-goals during the abridged league season before adding two more at the Super six Playoffs to finish as league top-scorer.
Chukwuemeka Obioma is expected to undergo mandatory medical tests today in Tunisia after striking agreement with Esperance who beat rivals Zamelek to the strikers signature.
According to multiple sources, the deal will be official in the next 48hrs, a loss to the People’s Elephants who will play in the CAF Champions League next season.
