Odion Igahlo scores brace in Changchun Yatai 2-1 win against Shanghai SIPG

Super Eagles striker Odion Jude Ighalo continued his impressive run of form as he scored all the goals in Changchun Yatai 2-1 win against Shanghai SIPG at the Changchun’s People Stadium on Sunday.

After scoring 4 goals in his side’s 5-2 win against Zhicheng last Saturday, Odion Ighalo added two more goals to increase his goal tally to 6 in 2 games.

Odion Ighalo put his side in front in the 15th minutes with a calm finish. Odion Ighalo fou d himself one-on-one with goalie having made something special from a long ball received from after receiving a long ball from Zhe Jiang.

Hulk, Oscar-led Shanghai SIPG equalized in the 41st minutes through Lei Wu. Lei Wu tapped the ball in from close range after a good square play from Hulk found him.

Odion Ighalo then made it 2 for the hosts in the 69th minutes with a good finish.

Shanghai SIPG threw men forward in search of an equalizer and came close to getting it in the 77th minutes but Hulk missed from the spot kick.

Odion Ighalo and teammates hung on to their lead to secure back-to-back wins.
