Odion Ighalo hits 20 league goal tally in China after brace in 6-goal thriller

There was no stopping Odion Jude Ighalo has he scored two goals in Changchun Yatai’s 3-3 draw against John Mikel Obi’s Tianjin Teda in a Chinese Super League game on Saturday.

The Super Eagles striker scored two fantastic goals to increase his goal tally to 20 goals with just one goal behind the top scorer Wu Lei with just 5 games to the end of the 2019 Chinese Super League.

Ighalo opened the scpring for the visitors in the 11th minutes of the game with a fine finish. The striker found himself one on one with the goalie after Adrian Mierzejewski cut the opponents defense open with a through ball.

It became two for Changchun Yatai when Zhiyu Yan scored a beauty in the 25th minutes of the game.

Jonathan reduced the deficit for the home team when he scored with a header in the 32nd minutes of the game.

The Brazilian completed his brace in the 53rd minutes with a goal that drew the the game for the home side.

Odion Ighalo restored gis side’s lead when he stepped up to convert a penalty in the 65th minutes of the game.

The penalty was awarded to Changchun Yatai after Fan Yang pulled Odio Ighalo’s short.

When it looked like a win was on the card for Changchun Yatai, Ghanaian striker Frank Acheampong popped up to equalize for Tianjin Teda in the last minute of the game.

Mikel Obi didnt play a part in the game.
