Odion Ighalo joins Quique Flores at Shanghai Shenhua

Super Eagles striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has joined Quique Flores at Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua after leaving relegated Changchun Yatai.

The deal taking the 3rd highest goal scorer in the Chinese Super League last season with Shanghai Shenhua was announced in the early hours of Thursday.

Odion Ighalo who was linked with a move to top European clubs such as Tottenham, Barcelona, Crystal Palace and Everton will now link up with his former manager Quique Flores.

Under Quique Flores, Odion Ighalo had his best ever season in England, he and the manager won the player and the manager of the month of December back in 2015.

Odion Ighalo will be walking into Shanghai Shenhua stating line up after scoring 36 league goals in 55 games for Changchun Yatai in two seasons.

Odion Ighalo becomes the latest Nigerian to be representing Shanghai Shenhua after Obafemi Martins.
