Odion Ighalo on target to keep pace with Chinese Super League top scorer

Super Eagles striker Odion Jude Ighalo was on target for Changchun Yatai as they trashed Guizhou Hengfeng 3-0 at the Changchun Stadium in their Chinese Super League matchday 22 game on Saturday.

Odion Ighalo who was on target for the Super Eagles in Nigeria’s 3-0 win against Seychelles in their Nations Cup qualifiers during the international break scored his side’s first on Saturday.

Odion Ighalo put the visitors in front in the 36th minutes of game from the spot just as he did when he scored for Super Eagles against Seychelles.

Nemanja Pejcinovic volleyed the ball into the back of the net to increase Changchun Yatai tally to two before Adrian Mierzejewski curled a direct free kick into the net in the 83rd minutes to complete the rout.

Odion Ighalo who has now scored 17 league goals this season with a record of 8 goals in his last 8 games is within reach of the Chinese Super League top scorer Wu Lei.
