Ighalo grew up in Lagos as a Manchester United fan and in January 2019, was signed on a short-term loan deal as a striking cover by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following a series of injury problems. Ighalo made 7 starts for the Red Devils, scoring 5 goals including a stunner in the Europa League against LASK Linz. He’s now set to return to his Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua. Ighalo is the only Nigerian to ever represent Manchester United and also the only one to ever score for the club.
