After scoring two goals in three NPFL games for the Promise Keepers, Ndifreke Effiong has moved to Iraq where he will represent Al Quwa Al-Jawiya.

The Air force club on Wednesday February 1, 2023 announced it has completed the signing of the 24-year old Nigerian international alongside Ghana’s Afriyie Acquah.

Founded in 1931, Al Quwa Al-Jawiya is the oldest existing club in Iraq and currently sits top of the 14-weeks old 2022/2023 Iraqi Premier League table.

Manager Hakeem Shakir will be boosted by the arrival of two vastly experienced African players as the Bagdàd based outfit looks to better their 2nd place finish from last season.

Al Quwa Al-Jawiya fans will hope to get a sight of free-scoring Ndifreke Effiong at the 40000 capacity Al Shaab Stadium on February 6 in Matchday 15 action of the 2022/2023 Iraqi Premier League season.
