Ogunbote: Draw at Abia was points loss
Enugu Rangers coach Gbenga Ogunbote has described his sides 0-0 draw at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday as points loss.
The former Enyimba coach whose side was unlucky not to win the tie rued their missed chances on the day they did everything right except for scoring.
Ogunbote explained that although it was an away game but it felt like they lost points because it was a game they should habe won by atleast three goal margin.
Coach Ogunbote in a post match chat said, “This was two points lost for us because it was a game we could have won with as much as three goals but I thank God for the one point. It was a good match considering the fact that it was a derby and no derbies are ever easy.”
Rangers who started the new campaign losing their firat two games are now 9th on the log with 10 points from 7 games. Their next game will be at home against El-Kanemi Warriors on Sunday.
