Okocha joins former PSG stars for Qatar tour

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Jay-Jay Okocha, has joined an esteemed list of former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) stars for a special tour of Qatar, organized by the club to celebrate its history.

The tour, which commenced on February 13, aims to honor PSG’s legacy by engaging in various football-related activities and cultural experiences.

Okocha, renowned for his exceptional skills on the ball, spent four memorable years at PSG between 1998 and 2002.

During his time with the club, he became a respected figure both on and off the pitch.

Joining the ranks of illustrious former PSG players like Claude Makelele, Pedro Miguel Pauleta, Ronaldinho, Ludovic Giuly, Javier Pastore, Didier Domi, and Nene, Okocha left an indelible mark with his performances.

Arriving at PSG for €12.4 million, Okocha showcased his talent in 113 appearances, contributing 20 goals and nine assists to the team.

Despite PSG’s status as a mid-table side in Ligue 1 during his tenure, Okocha’s presence and skill elevated the team’s performance, earning him admiration from fans and peers alike.

The PSG legends’ tour of Doha promises a blend of footballing nostalgia and cultural immersion. Activities lined up for the ex-players include a friendly match, attendance at the Doha Tennis Tournament, and participation in the Qatar International Food Festival.

Notably, they will be treated to a special live cooking show featuring their favorite dishes prepared by renowned chef Alexandre Guillo.
