Former Super Eagles captain Austin Okocha has highlighted the difference between current coach Augustine Eguavoen and sacked former coach Gernot Rohr.
Gernot Rohr was sacked as Super Eagles following dissatisfaction by Nigerians with his team.
Eagles despite qualifying for tournaments were pushing below their weights and unimpressive at the tournaments.
Hence, the call for his sack and was replace by interim coach in Augustine Eguavoen.
And Okocha who played alongside the manager in 1994 when Nigeria won the title for the second time mentioned the difference between him and Gernot Rohr.
“I think the difference between Eguavoen and Rohr is man management,” said Okocha on Super Sports.
“I like the way Eguavoen put his team together, make them happy because you need a bug squad to win a tournament.
“The new players have been given an opportunity to prove themselves that they are better than the guys in the main starting XI.
“It is am opportunity for these new players to show to the main guys that they can’t mess up as they will be ready to pounce.”
