Okocha selected for important Premier League engagement in Kenya

African football legend Austin Okocha has been selected for an important English Premier League engagement in Nairobi, Kenya.

Austin  Okocha is the designated football legend to parade the Premier League trophy to Nairobi, the Kenyan Capital as reported by Nairobi News.

The English Premier League trophy event is scheduled to run from September 1 to 2, 2023 with the high point expected at the Carnivore Grounds where fans will be thrilled with top entertainment from 9am to 4pm.

As contained in a statement released by Castrol, the official partner of the Premier League, the Premier League trophy tour has the intent of forging deep connection with EPL fans in Kenya.

“This event promises to give fans an exclusive opportunity to witness the cherished Premier League Trophy, connecting them more closely with the League,” stated the press release.

Mr. Ed Savage, Castrol Kenya’s Country Manager, highlighted the significance of this event, saying,

“The Premier League Trophy event in Kenya is a significant moment for football lovers in the region. Castrol is an official partner of the Premier League, and we are thrilled to offer this unique experience to our passionate football community in collaboration with RUBiS Energy Kenya.

“The event promises to be more than just a viewing; it is an immersion into football’s rich tapestry, complete with interactive games, vibrant music, and the exclusive opportunity to witness the trophy up close.” Savage said.

Okocha who is considered as one of the greatest African players to play in the English Premier League for his performances when representing Bolton Wanderers.

The Ex Nigerian International who recently celebrated his 50th birthday will be the cynosure of eyes, as fans will be thrilled by the opportunity to meet one of Africa’s best.
