Okoye Eyes New Clean Sheet Record as Udinese Face Parma

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is close to setting a new personal record for the longest time without conceding a goal for Udinese ahead of their match against Parma this weekend.
Okoye has been in fine form this season and has clearly established himself as Udinese’s first-choice goalkeeper. His consistent performances have played a key role in the team’s results.
Last week, he delivered an outstanding display in Udinese’s 3-0 win over AC Milan. He made three important saves in the match, earning praise from fans, with some even calling for him to become Nigeria’s number one ahead of Stanley Nwabali.
With six matches left this season, Okoye will be hoping to finish strongly. Udinese return to action at home, where they will aim to secure all three points against Parma.
The game also gives Okoye a chance to reach a new milestone. His current record for minutes without conceding in the league is 354 minutes. At the moment, he is on a run of 322 minutes without letting in a goal, following clean sheets against Genoa, Como, and AC Milan.
If he keeps Parma from scoring in the first 33 minutes, he will set a new personal best.
Okoye has improved greatly in recent years. He now plays with confidence, makes fewer mistakes, and is becoming an important leader in the team. If he continues in this form, he could soon attract interest from bigger clubs in Europe.
