Olisa Ndah scores as Orlando Pirates hold Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Town

Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah was on target for Orlando Pirates as his team played to a 2-2 draw against English side Plymouth Argyle in a pre-season friendly held at Banús Football Centre in Marbella on Friday night.

It was a historic occasion on Spain’s south coast, marking the first-ever meeting between the two sides in this crucial practice match.

The Buccaneers took the lead when Plymouth failed to clear their lines deep inside their territory, allowing Evidence Makgopa to slot the ball home.

Plymouth responded quickly, with teenage striker Freddie Issaka equalizing in the 40th minute.

Just three minutes later, Ndah restored Orlando Pirates’ lead, capitalizing on another defensive mix-up by the English side.

In the 63rd minute, Plymouth’s Callum Wright leveled the score again with an easy tap-in from Ibrahim Cissoko’s assist.

Orlando Pirates will now turn their attention to Monday’s friendly against Sevilla.
