Onaopemipo Adegoke Bask In Winning Euphoria At 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open

Onaopemipo Adegoke on Monday emerged victorious at the 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open tournament in Abeokuta.

Playing at the OOPL Squash court, Onas defeated Gabriel Oluwafunmilayo 3-2 to win the tournament in a match which was almost marred by a groin injury to him.

After the win, Onas had a chat with sportsration.com on his victory.

‘I’m delighted with my win, I almost gave up due to my groin injury but I had to keep pushing just to win”, he said.

“My opponent was a hard one to play that even if he’s under pressure he plays the same way without letting it get to him”, he further stated.

“This win is huge for me, I won’t say I’m 50 percent or 100 percent ready for the national camp ahead of the world championship but I’ll deliver a good outing”, Onas concluded.

The win is the first of Onaopemipo Adegoke at the tournament which in its second edition is a PSA tournament.
