Super Eagles strikers Paul Onuachu and Cyriel Dessers were on target for Genk as they secured a 2-1 comeback win against Zulte Waregem in the Belgian League opener.
Genk who have four Nigerian players namely Cyriel Dessers, Paul Onuachu, Stephen Odey and Shawn Adewoye in their books only started one in the clash.
It was Cyriel Dessers who started the match against Zulte Waregem while Paul Onuachu made it to the bench but both Stephen Odey and Shawn Adewoye were missing in action.
The visitors who drew the first blood but Paul Onuachu who was subbed on in the second half drew his side level in the 73rd minute just 20 minutes after he came on.
Seven minutes after the equalizer, Cyriel Dessers scored the winning goal from the spot kick to seal the 2-1 win and the maximum three points for Genk in their first game of the season.
