Holidaying Nigerian players Paul Onuachu, Raphael Onyedika and Frank Onyeka paid a visit to their youth club FC Ebedei on Thursday June 8.
All three Europe based footballers joined the clubs youngsters in training at their base in Apele, Sagamu in Ogun State as the team prepares for its last game of the 2022/2023 season.
The lad were excited to be joined by the superstars who once represented FC Ebedei as they currently do.
Paul Onuachu of Southampton nd Frank Onyeka of Brentford SPORTSRATION gathered had previously paid similar visit to their youth team while it was a first homecoming for Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika since his move to Europe.
All three players are eyeing invitation to the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers vs Sierra Leone.
Whereas Frank Onyeka is sure to be on Jose Peseiro’s list of invited players, there is uncertainty over the inclusion of Onyedika and tall striker Paul Onuachu who could lose his spot following a difficult few months at relegated English Premier League club, Southampton.
Reacting to the visit by the Super Eagles stars, President of FC Ebedei Barrister Churchill Oliseh praised the trio for coming around and used their career path as charge for the up and coming players in the team.
” It’s an honor to have with us the Super Eagles trio of Onuachu, Onyeka, and Onyedika, they are great ambassadors of FC Ebedei, Nigeria, and indeed the continent of Africa.” Oliseh said.
