Oshoala Stunned With The Exclusion Of Omeruo, Ndidi From AFCON Group Stage Best XI

Three time African women Footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala has expressed her disbelief over the exclusion of Wilfred Ndidi and Kenneth from CAF’s best team of the group stage released yesterday.

The Nigerian duo were solid in the country’s first two group stage games against Burundi and Guinea.

Ndidi put up a man of the match performance in Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Burundi and was also solid against Guinea.

Omeruo on the other hand scored the Super Eagles’ only goal in the 1-0 victory over Guinea and was voted man of the match.

Oshola took to Twitter and disagreed with CAF over the names of players in the mix.

She said ” No Omeruo and Ndidi, I don’t believe it”.

Some Nigerians also echoed the sentiments of the Barcelona ladies forward, while others believe Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Madagascar ruined their chances of displacing any of the players in the list.
