Osimhen at the double for Napoli in preseason win

Victor Osimhen netted a brace for Napoli as they trounced Turkish side Hatayspor 4-0 in a preseason friendly clash on Saturday, as the striker showed his readiness for the new season.

Fresh from helping Nigeria qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen is back on duty with his club after spending most of the summer in Nigeria.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring with a brilliant effort after just 23 minutes when he latched onto a pass from Matteo Politano before rounding the goalkeeper and slotting home.

Osimhen doubled his and his side’s advantage with a classy finish in the 27th minute. He ran onto a through ball from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before deftly dinking the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.

The Turkish side were unable to keep up even after Osimhen was substituted as substitute striker Giovanni Simeone came off the bench to net a brace for himself and round off the scoring for the Serie A champions.
