Nigeria Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been celebrated by CAF for his hattrick against Sao Tome and Principe.
Osimhen bagged a hattrick as Nigeria spanked Sao Tome 6-0 to end their AFCON qualification journey at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday September 10.
In a message shared on its official X (Twitter) handle on Monday September 11, the Confederation of African Football – CAF hailed the Napoli forward for another ” ruthless ” performance in front of goal.

“He just can’t stop scoring.” “Osimhen’s ruthlessness in front of goal proved the difference as Nigeria coasted to victory,” the African Football governing body wrote on its official website.
Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen finished as top scorer in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series after scoring ten goals for the Eagles who finished top of group A.
A Balloon D’or nominee, Victor Osimhen will hope his exploits in the past year will help land him the African player of the year accolade.
