Osimhen Nears Return as Galatasaray Star Resumes Light Training

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has taken a positive step in his recovery from injury after Galatasaray confirmed he has returned to light training.
The 27-year-old has started indoor sessions after completing the first stage of his treatment. This is a good sign for the club as they prepare for important matches in the coming weeks.
Osimhen suffered a fractured right forearm during a collision with Ibrahima Konaté in a UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool in mid-March. He later underwent a successful surgery.
Since then, Galatasaray have handled his recovery carefully. The club said he has now moved beyond the early stage of rehabilitation and is working indoors, which is an important step before returning to full team training.
The team has already resumed preparations for their next league game, but Osimhen is still training separately. Head coach Okan Buruk is expected to continue monitoring his progress closely to avoid any setbacks.
Osimhen is now targeting a return later this month. He hopes to be fit in time for the big derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26.
Medical staff may allow him to play with a protective splint once he regains full strength and fitness. Before that, he will need to move from indoor training to light outdoor work and then full contact sessions.
The striker is expected to miss a few matches, but his possible return for the derby could be a major boost for Galatasaray as they continue their push in the title race.
