It will be a big clash when Plateau United face Akwa United today at the New Jos Stadium in one of match week 15 encounters of the current Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Coach of visiting Akwa United, Jolomi Atune, under whose guidance the team has won back to back games, is confident heading into the tie and clearly states that victory is the target for the Promise Keepers.

“We are prepared for this task. We know every team will play. We are ready to win. All what we know is win, win, win.

“God’s willing we will win here. We don’t bother who is home or away. Our mission here is to come and win.”

The Nigerian Champions are yet to taste defeat at the New Jos Stadium for two consecutive seasons, picking a point in both ties – a situation Atune describes as encouraging but wants his team to go a notch higher and make it count this time by pocketing all three points.

“It’s something that gives me confidence because we’ve come here twice in the last two seasons and it’s always draws; but this time, we will carry the three points by God’s grace”.

Fifth on the log with 23 points, Akwa United will be hoping to continue their renaissance that has seen them beat Remo Stars 1-0 away and Dakkada FC 3-2 at home since the departure of Coach Kennedy Boboye who guided them to NPFL glory last season.
