There were seven major triumphs, including four Masters victories and two Open titles, among Arnold Palmer’s extensive list of achievements.
The American was a 62-time winner on the PGA Tour and is recognised as a pioneer for the game during the rise of the television era.
Palmer’s death at the age of 87 has put the world of golf in a state of mourning, but the legacy left by ‘The King’ will have a lasting impact.
Not least on the PGA Tour, which has grown into the global phenomenon it is today in no short part down to Palmer’s brilliance.
