Super Falcons of Nigeria midfielder Toni Payne scored the winning goal to help her club Sevilla Feminino win the Andalusia Cup in Spain.

Payne returned to Sevilla Feminino after a brilliant 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup with the Super Falcons of Nigeria. The midfielder played in all four games and impressed as the falcons flew to the last-16.

The 26-year old was named on the bench as Sevilla recorded a 4-1 victory against Granada Feminino in the Andalusian Cup semifinal.

Payne was introduced late-on in the game and bagged an assist locating Cristina Martín-Prieto down the middle to score the fourth in a comfortable win.

In the final match, Payne was again not named in the starting lineup for Sevilla against Sporting de Huelva in the Andalusian Cup final on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

The Nigerian International was again sent on as a substitute and scored the match winner in the 63rd minute of the match.
