Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sets unique record with incredible hat-trick in Barcelona win at Valencia

Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has set an exclusive record following his hat-trick in Barcelona 4-1 win against Valencia at the Mestella on Sunday.

Coach Xavi Hernandez handed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang his first start in Barcelona shirt and he duly rewarded his coach’s trust with goals.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker didn’t just score goals but put his name in an exclusive list in the process.

Aubameyang scored the first goal of the game in the 23rd minute of the game.

Frenkie De Jong tapped on from close range for the second goal of the game in the 32nd minute.

Aubameyang scored the third goal of the game, his second of the day in the 38th minute of the game.

Valencia through Carlos Soler pulled one back, but Pedri’s effort which was deflected into the net by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed the 4-1 win for Barcelona at difficult Mestalla.

The fourth goal was originally recorded for Pedri but the referee after the game, awarded it to Aubameyang, as the ball touched his back before ending in the net.

For scoring a hattrick in four different leagues – in France with Saint-Étienne, Germany with Borussia Dortmund, England with Arsenal and Spain with Barcelona.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang becomes the first ever player in the 21st century to achieve this feat.
