PL Relegation Battle – Will Alex Iwobi and Everton avoid the drop?
The relegation battle in the Premier League has taken another twist after the weekend results involving teams in the scramble.
Over the weekend, Alex Iwobi and Everton were dragged back into the battle after a run of incredible results that saw them defeat Chelsea and Leicester City in the space of seven days.
But a goalless draw against relegated Watford in their midweek fixture and a 3-2 home loss to Brentford on Sunday meant they are now back in the fight.
With Burnley and Watford already confirmed relegated, one of Burnley, Leeds United, and Everton will join them in the championship at the end of the season.
Right now Burnley have 34 points from 36 games, Leeds United have 35 points from 37 games and Alex Iwobi’s Everton have 36 points from 36 games.
Everton will host Crystal Palace on Thursday and travel to Arsenal on the last day. Arsenal who are also in a top-four battle must win the game to confirm their place.
Burnley also have two tough games left, a trip to Villa Park to face Aston Villa and a home game against inform Newcastle.
Leeds United travel to Brentford in their last game of the season.
