Plateau United management go tough on players and technical crew over poor results

When you are the defending two seasons back and have this terrible start to a new season, something must be done to change the fortunes of the team.

Plateau United management has taking a very tough approach in bid to find a lasting solution to the flailing club’s performances this new NPFL campaign.

Plateau United have found themselves in relegation battle after winning just 2, drawing 5 and losing 3 with the last defeat being a shocking 1-0 game defeat to Kada City on Wednesday.

A loss the headcoach Abdu Maikaba blamed on Psychologically pressure.

“Psychologically we were under pressure which was responsible for our catalogue of missed chances,” Maikaba was quoted by the LMC media.

Psychological or not Plateau United management want a positive change and they want it now so the measures.

Here is the highlights of the punishment according to Tobi Samuel who is monitoring the situation.

– Plateau United have placed players on ‘No Work No Pay.’

– Plateau United players and technical crew are placed on half salaries until the fortunes of the club improve.

– Management to drop unproductive players who have not exhibited professionalism and commitment.”

Plateau United with 11 points from 10 games are occupying the 9th position in the 12 teams in group B.
