Chelsea coach Graham Potter has hailed the performance of Enzo Fernandez in the 3-1 win over Leicester City at the King’s Power Stadium on Saturday.
Fernandez produced a masterclass performance capped with a sublime assist for Kai Havertz for the second goal.
Potter is confident that the Argentine midfielder will keep getting better for Chelsea.
“He’s a fantastic player. He’s a young player,” Potter told reporters.
“He’s going to get better and better as he’s with us more, because he’s just arrived from another country and another league. So you always have to adapt to that.
“But you can see his quality, he gets the ball, he can pass forward. He’s progressive with his mentality, gets the team moving, and then he gives everything so it’s a nice combination to have.”
Potter also showered encomiums on another January signing, Mykhailo Mudryk for his impressive performance against the Foxes.
“He wants to help the team wants to work with the team,” Potter said. “So delighted for him that he could assist and help us win.”
Mudryk provided the assist for Kovacic’s goal to wrap up the win for Chelsea.
Chelsea have now won three consecutive games to end their poor run of form.
Potter will be hoping for a similar performance against Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
