Precious Opinion Books Place in World U20 Triple Jump Final

Nigerian triple jumper Precious Opinion has qualified for the World Athletics U20 Championships final in Eugene, Oregon.

Opinion produced a lifetime-best 16.00m in qualifying, automatically securing his place in the final.

The performance also moved him up to No. 3 on the University of Minnesota’s all-time outdoor triple-jump list, another milestone for the young athlete.

Opinion is a Nigerian sophomore at Minnesota, where he competes for the Golden Gophers. Now he gets the chance to compete for a medal on the world junior stage. The final awaits.
