PSG consider Marcus Rashford as potential Kylian Mbappe replacement
French football giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly considering Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman will leave PSG on a free transfer except he agrees to a new contract at the capital club.
The Ligue 1 club had previously shown interest in Rashford in the summer of 2022, but the English forward opted to stay at Old Trafford by signing a new five-year deal.
Rashford’s performances this season have come under scrutiny, with his on-field contributions not matching the heights of the previous campaign.
The 26-year-old has faced challenges, both in terms of form and off-field activities, but according to multiple reports, PSG remain keen on revisiting their interest in the player.
PSG is reportedly preparing for the departure of Kylian Mbappe and sees the potential acquisition of Marcus Rashford as a strategic move to bolster their attacking options.
Despite Rashford’s current struggles, PSG views him as a player with significant potential and believes that a change of environment could reignite his form.
While Manchester United is reported to have no immediate plans to sell Rashford, the club might consider attractive offers, especially considering his performances in the current season.
