Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has revealed what his manager Frank Lampard said to him before he inspired the London side to 1-0 win against Ajax in a Champions League game on Wednesday.
The American was brought off the bench for the final 20 minute of the game and he duly rewarded the manager’s trust with the fine pass that led to the winning goal.
The former Dortmund star who was over the moon revealed what his manager said that helped him before and after the game.
‘I was really happy to be given another opportunity to go on,’ Pulisic said.
‘He [Frank Lampard] told me to go on and make an impact, make a difference, and I was happy I was able to help a little bit. He said ‘great job’ at the end, he was really happy I came on and made a difference.”
A lot of Chelsea fans would be eager to see Christian Pulisic start for Chelsea against Burnley after coming off the bench and assisting two goals in his last two games.
