Randers 1 Midtjylland 2: Egho on target but Onuachu’s 10th goal of the season wins it for The Wolves

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu was on target for Midtylland as they secured a 2-1 win at Randers in the Cepheus Park in Danish Supaliga game on Sunday.

The Wolves lost the top spot to Copenhagen after losing 2-1 to their rivals last week in a game where Paul Onuachu scored his side’s only goal.

It was Paul Onuachu who scored the goal that took Midtjylland back in contention, after his beautiful effort condemned Mavin Egho’s Rander to a 2-1 home loss.

Paul Onuachu showed quickness and creativity to set up Awer Mabil for the opener in the 3rd minute of the game.

Paul Onuachu ran with the ball from the center before giving a defence splitting pass to Awer Mabil who buried the ball with a one time chip.

An Austrian striker of Nigerian descent, Mavin Egho equalized for the home team with a 33rd minute header.

A cross found the unmarked Egho in the box and he made no mistake from a very close range

In the 58th minute of the game the wining goal came, when Paul Onuachu showed his class before scoring a magnificent goal.

Paul Onuachu controled a return header in the box in front of three defenders, shoved them off and turned in between five players before firing home a wicked shot.

The goal was enough to earn the visitors all the three points and temporarily take them just one point behind log leaders Copenhagen who are playing a goalless draw with Horsen as at the time of this report.

Rilwan Hassan and Frank Onyeka also played in the game for Midtylland.

Paul Onuachu with 10 goals in 16 league games will continue to push for the top scorer’s gong.
