Rangers 2 Bantu FC 1 (Agg 4-2): Aggregate win seals Flying Antelopes’ place in CAFCC group stage
Nigeria’s representative in CAF Confederation Cup, Rangers International of Enugu have secured their place in the money spinning group stages after an aggregate win on Sunday.
The Flying Antelopes toppled their opponents from Lesotho at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium 2-1 to complete an aggregate 4-2 win folowing their easy 2-1 win in the first leg.
The visitors who are Lesotho’s reigning league champions took the lead at the Cathedral in the 13th minute through Fathoane but Ajani restored parity in the 19th minute of the game.
Regular goalscorer, Godwin Aguda sent the crowd into wild celebration with another fine strike to put Rangers in front.
The goal was all that the Flying Antelopes needed to comfirm their place in the group stages of the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.
