Chibuzor Madu brace condemned Pillars to their fifth defeat in their last six games as the 2015-16 champions got back to winning ways.

Rangers were too good for their rivals Kano Pillars on Sunday in the rearranged matchday 9 clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Rangers poor forms didn’t mattered as they took the lead in the second  minute of the clash through Chibuzor Madu. Ifeanyi George was fouled in Pillars box before the referee awarded a penalty which was calmly converted Chibuzor.

Four minutes after they took the lead Chibuzor again made it two for Rangers to record his brace on the night with an exquisite finish.

The tie continued to be a back and forth affair and while Chibuzor was almost getting his hattrick he was injured and couldn’t carry on in the match, he was replaced by Okey Odita in the 38th minute.

Ifeanyi George who created the first goal through penalty finally put his name on the scorers’ chat in the 45th minutes before Adamu Mohammed got one back for Pillars in the 47th minute.
