Raphael Onyedika reacts to transfer speculation amid Manchester City and AC Milan links
Nigeria international Raphael Onyedika has responded to rumours linking him with a move away from Club Brugge. The midfielder has been attracting interest from top European clubs, including Manchester City, AC Milan, and FC Porto.
Onyedika played a key role in Brugge’s Belgian Pro League title win last season and has continued to impress this year. His performances, especially in the Champions League, where he scored against Manchester City at the Etihad, have increased speculation about a summer transfer.
Despite the growing interest, the 23-year-old remains focused on his current club.
“I don’t know what the future holds,” Onyedika told Sportsboom via Voetbalnieuws. “At the moment, I am very happy at Club Brugge. I am focused on doing my best and helping the team. I love the club, the fans, and everything about the environment here.”
The Nigerian midfielder also dismissed claims that he is actively looking for a move.
“At the moment, I am fully committed to the present, and I have no further plans,” he added.
Onyedika joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in 2022 for €10 million, and his value has risen significantly. His current market worth is around €16 million, but Brugge are expected to demand over €20 million if they decide to sell.
With his contract running until 2027, the Belgian club could see this summer as their best chance to make a big profit. However, Onyedika’s comments suggest he is not in a hurry to leave.
As speculation continues, fans will be watching closely to see if any of the interested clubs make a serious offer for the Super Eagles star.
