Rasheedat Ajibade to Decide Club Future After WAFCON
Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade will wait until after the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) before making a decision about her next club move.
The 25-year-old is set to leave Atlético Madrid at the end of June, bringing an end to her four-year spell with the Spanish club.
Ajibade played her final match for Atlético recently in a game against Barcelona. Reports suggest she has received an offer from a club in the United States, possibly in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
However, she has decided to focus fully on WAFCON before considering any transfer.
The Nigerian star will now aim to help the Super Falcons win a record 10th WAFCON title in Morocco, and only after the tournament will she make a decision on her club future.
