Rashidi Yekini by far a better striker than Tony Yeboah

Nigeria legend Rashidi Yekini has been picked ahead of Ghana legend Anthony Yeboah by fans all over the world as a better striker.

Rashidi Yekini, now late, was picked by football lovers across the globe as the go to go guy in poll conducted Thursday by the World Governing body, FIFA.

The poll that lasted almost 12 hours garnered 10445 votes and Rashidi Yekini had 78% about 8147 votes while his Ghanaian counter part had 22% which is 1298 votes.

While fans of both players pointed out their club achievements most notably Rashidi Yekini becoming top scorer in the Portuguese league with Victoria Setubal back in 1994 and Tony Yeboah finishing top scorer twice in Bundesliga 1993, 1994.

They also agreed that Rashidi Yekini feat for the national team, finishing top scorer in two AFCON and helping Nigeria to win in 1994 played a huge role in the decision to go with Rashidi Yekini.

Others pointed out that Tony Yeboah’s inability to reproduce his top performance at club leven with the national team worked to his advantage.

Some mentioned the fact that Rashidi Yekini played in two world cup, won the African player of the year award where as Tony Yeboah never played in any world cup or win the African best award.
