Real Madrid are La Liga Champions for the 36th time

Real Madrid clinched the La Liga title on Saturday, securing their championship status as Barcelona suffered a 4-2 defeat against Girona, following Madrid’s own victory against Cadiz.

In a crucial match against Cadiz, Real Madrid emerged triumphant with a convincing 3-0 win, with goals from Brahim Diaz, Jude Bellingham, and Joselu.

This victory positioned them for the title if Barcelona failed to win their match against Girona. Despite Barcelona twice taking the lead in their match, Girona rallied back each time, ultimately securing a two-goal lead and handing Madrid the championship.

With Real Madrid now sitting comfortably 13 points clear at the top of La Liga with only four games remaining, neither Girona nor Barcelona have a chance of overtaking them.

Madrid’s dominance is evident, having lost just one match in the league this season. Jude Bellingham’s impressive performance, with 18 goals and four assists, contributed significantly to Madrid’s success, including a crucial late winner in their recent Clasico victory against Barcelona.

This victory marks Real Madrid’s 36th La Liga title in their illustrious history, as they now aim to further their success by pursuing the Champions League trophy.

Their focus shifts to the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, with the tie currently level at 2-2 from the first leg. Despite their league triumph, Madrid remains focused on the task ahead as they pursue European glory.
