Real Madrid Closing In on Trent Alexander-Arnold Deal Within 24 Hours

Real Madrid could complete the signing of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold within the next 24 hours, according to reports. The Spanish giants have sped up talks with Liverpool as they look to finalise the deal before his contract runs out next month.

New Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is eager to have Alexander-Arnold in his squad in time for their opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup. Real will face Saudi side Al-Hilal on June 18 in Miami, and the club wants to make use of the early transfer window running from June 1 to June 10, set up especially for the tournament.

Liverpool are willing to let the 26-year-old go now for a transfer fee, rather than lose him for free later. Alexander-Arnold has already confirmed his decision to leave the club and said an emotional farewell at Anfield on the final day of the season.

Real Madrid tried to sign him back in January, but Liverpool refused, focusing on winning the Premier League title. Now that the season is over, the La Liga side are determined to get the deal done.

The *Times* reports that a full agreement could be reached as early as today. Real Madrid are hoping the move is finalised before Alexander-Arnold joins up with the England squad next week for matches against Andorra and Senegal.

Alexander-Arnold has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu. While he kept quiet about his future during the season, his recent announcement confirmed what many fans expected. After his initial statement, he faced some boos from supporters, but on the final day, fans gave him a warmer send-off.

If the deal goes through, Alexander-Arnold will become one of the key signings of the summer and a major addition to Real Madrid’s squad as they aim for global glory.
