Rice heads Arsenal five-points clear at the top of the Premier League table

Englishman, Declan Rice scored with a glancing header to secure a 3-4 win for Arsenal FC over Luton Town to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The game was a seven-goal thriller at Kenilworth Road with Rice scoring the decicive goal to hand Mikel Arterta’s men maximum points.

It was Brazillian forward, Gabriel Martinelli that scored the opener after getting on the end of a superb cross from Ben White.

Gabriel Osho equalised on 25 minutes for Luton Town , before Gabriel Jesus gave the Gunners a 2-1 lead at half time.

Early in the second half, Elijah Adebayo beat David Raya to the ball from a corner to head the Hatters back on level time

In a crazy start to the second half, Ross Barkley’s strike went through the hands of Arsenal goalkeeper, David Raya to put Luton 3-2 up before Kai Havertz levelled things juat after the hour mark.

Luton fought back to level scores through Kai  Haverts

In the final seconds of the game, £105million man Declan Rice sent a glancing header into the net to give the Gunners all three points and extd their lead at the top of the English Premier League table to five points.

Arterta’s troops will hope lesson from last seasons capitulation will serve as guide as they strive to consolidate on the lead in their chase for the Premier Legaue title
