“Smooth. If you’re talking about one of the smoothest ballers in the game, in the Premier League right now, Eze’s up there,” Ferdinand said on Vibe with FIVE podcast, via Metro.

‘He’s a player. Gareth Southgate, get him in there [the England squad]!

“I just want to see him get more goals and assists. He’s started to add some goals recently and hopefully he can continue in that vein. ”

Eze (24), in 2017 trained with the Nigeria National team but a debut did not happen and so he is still eligible to represent the Three Lions.

His International future could have been settled in May 2021 when Gareth Southgate handed him a spot in the English national team provisional squad for the 2022 European Championship but the attacking midfielder missed out with injury.

Current Palace boss Roy Hodgson has seen the 24-year old flourish under his tutelage and so the former England National team manager will back Ferdinand`s call.

Eberechi has scored 7-goals for Palace this season and is playing so well that Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand also recommends him for a top club.

“He’d be good at Arsenal, you know. In the [Granit] Xhaka position. In another year.

As a kid, Eze was at Arsenal`s academy. At 13, Eze was released from the Gunners academy and continued his development at the Fulham, Reading and Millwall before signing his first professional contract at QPR in August 2016 aged (18).

The Midfielder still has 2-years on the Crystal Palace contract he signed back in 2020 when he first joined the Eagles from Queens Park Rangers.
