Rivers Hoopers defeat Madagascar’s GNBC for first BAL victory

Nigeria’s representative at the inaugural Basketball Africa League, Rivers Hoopers picked up their first win of the tournament as they defeated Madagascar’s GNBC 80-69 in the competition.

Small forward Taren Sullivan led the scoring for the Nigerian side with 19 points as they bounced back from consecutive defeats to Patriots BC and the US Monastir to claim their first win in Group A of the tournament.
