Super Eagles headcoach Gernot Rohr has praised Torino defender Olaoluwa Aina.
Olaoluwa Aina a member of the Super Eagles squad at the ongoing AFCON in Egypt has already made headlines for his contribution in Nigeria’s 1-0 against Burundi in their first game.
Aina who was dropped from the squad that represented Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup was one of the best players on parade at Alexandria stadium.
It was the former Chelsea defender who created the goal scored by Odion Ighalo for Nigeria’s only goal of the match.
“Ola Aina has improved really well. That why we tell our players to go to teams where they will play and get better.
“He’s a different player entirely, his presence gives us another option when we play with three at the back as he can play as a wing back.”
Ola Aina recently joined Torino on a permanent deal after spending the 2018-2019 on season-long loan at the Italian side where he played 30 games and scored a goal in the process.
