Rooney: Haaland Frustrates Me Despite His Quality

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has admitted that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland frustrates him, despite being one of the best goalscorers in the game.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel, Rooney praised Haaland’s movement in the penalty area but said the Norwegian should be more commanding on the pitch. “I like watching Haaland, but he also frustrates me a bit. His movement in the 6-yard box is incredible, but you want a bit more from him. Look at the size of him, he’s like a beast – I want him to bully centre-backs,” Rooney said.

Earlier this year, the former England captain also advised Haaland to be more selfish, urging him to take penalties like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
