FIRST LEG 

Bendel Insurance FC knocked out Algerian side ASO Clef in the CAF Confederation preliminary round to set-up a clash vs RS Berkane, who were drawn bye for the first round.

In the first leg match, Bendel Insurance FC and RS Berkane played out a 2-2 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin two weeks ago.

Imade Osarenkhoe and Paul Obata scored for Insurance FC, while Oussama Lamlioui and Mohamed El Morabit were the scorers for Berkane on the day.

THE RETURN LEG 

RS Berkane will host the return leg, banking on their recent impressive home record, which has seen them wins except for a draw vs Wydad Casablanca in the domestic league.

Bendel Insurance FC on their part arrived Morocco without top-scorer Imade Osarenkhoe following his transfer to UAE outfit United FC.

Coach Monday Odigie will have to find a solution to the vacuum created by Imade’s departure with the Benin Arsenal condemned to score , for a win or at least a 2+ score draw in Morocco on Friday night.

This will be the second ever meeting between both clubs. After their first meeting ended in a draw, both teams are perfectly poised for battle for a place in the 2023/2024 CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
