Westbrook made NBA history with his epic stretch of triple-doubles as Curry stars as Warriors win again

Westbrook had yet another triple-double as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Detroit Pistons 106-88 becoming the first player in NBA history to average at least 32 points, 9.5 rebounds and 10.5 assists through the first 17 games of a season

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors extended their winning run in the NBA, as Russell Westbrook’s stunning form continued.

The Warriors made it 11 straight wins with a comfortable 115-102 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

The San Antonio Spurs were also victorious, overcoming the Washington Wizards 112-100.

WINNING WARRIORS

The Warriors had few problems against the Timberwolves.

Stephen Curry had a game-high 34 points, Kevin Durant finished with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds and Klay Thompson had 23 points.

Zach LaVine had 31 points for the Timberwolves.

WONDERFUL WESTBROOK

Westbrook recorded yet another triple-double with 17 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds.

He is just the second player to record back-to-back triple-doubles with 15 assists in NBA history (joining Magic Johnson).

Westbrook also tied LeBron James for the sixth-most triple-doubles in NBA history (44 each), but it only took him 605 games compared to the latter’s 1,000.

SPURS LOVING ROAD TRIPS

The Spurs improved to 10-0 away from home with their latest win.

LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Tony Parker had 20 points and Kawhi Leonard 19.

WIGGINS’ DUNK

KNICKS BEATEN

The New York Knicks went down to the Charlotte Hornets 107-102 and the Memphis Grizzlies edged the Miami Heat 110-107.

CAVALIERS AT 76ERS

Last season’s champions the Cleveland Cavaliers square off against the NBA’s strugglers in the Philadelphia 76ers with all of their top players in form. Kevin Love has been a double-double machine, and Kyrie Irving continues to score in bunches. And for good measure, they still have a guy named LeBron.
