Sadio Mane future settled amidst Al Nassr exit rumours
Senegal star Sadio Mane has been making headlines amid rumors of a potential move away from his current club, Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
However, it appears that the Senegalese superstar is staying put, firmly quashing any speculation about a return to his former club, RB Salzburg.
Mane, now 32, began his European career at RB Salzburg in 2012 before moving to Southampton in 2014. His performances there earned him a transfer to Liverpool, where he enjoyed six highly successful years, becoming one of the Premier League’s top players. In 2022, Mane moved to Bayern Munich, but his time in Germany was marred by a training ground altercation with teammate Leroy Sane, leading to a tumultuous exit.
Following his exit from Bayern, Mane joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr. Here, he has revitalized his career, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists in 46 appearances during his debut season. His impressive form has made him an integral part of the team, contributing significantly to their successes.
Despite his brilliant season at Al Nassr, rumors emerged suggesting Mane might return to RB Salzburg. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano quickly dispelled these rumors. Quoting Mane’s agent, Romano stated:
“I did NOT have any meeting with clubs regarding Sadio. He is preparing the season with Al Nassr and has absolutely no intention to leave. His club is extremely happy with him.”
Mane’s contract with Al Nassr runs until 2026, and any potential departure would require a substantial fee, which RB Salzburg would likely struggle to afford.
With both his professional and personal life flourishing, Sadio Mane appears to be settled and happy at Al Nassr. Any speculation about a return to Salzburg has been firmly put to rest, much to the delight of his current club.
