Sadio Mane makes Al Nassr debut as Cristiano Ronaldo headed goal books Arab Championship quater-final place

Sadio Mane made his Al Nassr debut vs Zamalek as the Saudi Arabian outfit qualified for the Arab Championship quater-final courtesy of a late-headed goal by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mane who joined the Knights this week from Bayern Munich was named among the substitutes but was introduced after the halftime break in the game on Thursday August 3 for his debut.

Al Nassr looked headed for a first round elimination before Cristiano Ronaldo continued his scoring streak, netting his second goal in consecutive games as Al-Nassr to force a 1-1 draw vs Egyptian club Zamalek at the King Fahd Stadium.

His debut done and dusted on a happy note, Senegalese star Sadio Mane will look forward to seeing more game time at Al Nassr as he moves past what was a turbulent campaign with Bayern Munich last season.

Sadio Mane said ” I am happy here and excited to give the addition and achieve titles this season and the fans, Al-Nassr are amazing. The team spirit is great and great, we have great stars.”

In their chase for the Arab Championship title, Al Nassr will contend with Al Ittihad, Al Hilal and other top sides before attention will shift to the Saudi Arabian Premier League.
