Salisu Yusuf Takes Over at Nasarawa United After Coach Kabir Dogo’s Departure

Nasarawa United have announced that they have mutually parted ways with their Technical Director, Kabir Dogo, and have appointed Salisu Yusuf as the new head coach.

The decision to part ways with Dogo comes after a review of the team’s performance in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season, where results did not meet the club’s expectations. Despite the hard work of the coaching staff and players, the club’s performance had not improved as hoped, leading to the decision for a change.

In a statement, the club thanked Coach Kabir Dogo for his dedication and commitment during his time with Nasarawa United, especially for treating the team as a family. Dogo, who was on his second stint with the club, also expressed his gratitude to the management, staff, players, and fans, wishing the team the best in the future.

With the club fighting to stay in the league, Nasarawa United have brought in Salisu Yusuf, the former Chief Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, as their new coach. Yusuf, who holds a CAF ‘A’ coaching licence, has an impressive coaching background, both at the club level and with the national team.

The club is hopeful that Yusuf’s experience will help turn things around in the second half of the season, and they are committed to improving their performance and competing at the highest level of Nigerian football. They also thanked their supporters for their continued understanding during this period of change.
