Samson Siasia dismisses Gernot Rohr’s young Super Eagles chances of winning 2019 AFCON title

Former Super Eagles player and coach Samson Siasia has ruled out the chances of Gernot Rohr’s team claiming the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt this summer.
Samson Siasia who was part of the Eagles winning squad in 1994 commended Gernot Rohr led team for what they have done and doing with the young team.
But he dismissed their chances of winning the title because the team is not yet a formidable team.
“The teams handlers are doing a great job with a very young team.
“However, I don’t think the team is formidable enough to be African champions just yet,” said Siasia as quoted by Brilla.
Samson Siasia who has been successful with the U20, and Olympics Eagles winning silver at FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2005, silver and bronze at 2008 and 2016 Olympics; was the manager who failed qualify Nigeria for 2017 AFCON finals.
Nigeria are in group B alongside Burundi, Guinea and Madagascar at the AFCON 2019.
